'TATE MODERN GALLERY' which is a free art gallery easy to get to by getting off at the St Paul's stop. there is most likely a closer one on the otherside of the bridge however its a nice walk and not that far.
i was quiet nicely surprised by this gallery as i wasnt expecting anything great purely because of the fact i chose to go to this gallery because it was close to the cathedral (and i wanted to fit a lot into the day), however it wa quiet a good gallery.
some of the artists that have work at this gallery are:
-Pablo Picasso
-Dorothea Tanning
-Wilfredo Lam
-Giorgio de Chirico
-Andre Derain
-Claude Monet
-Roy Lichtenstein
-Georges Braque
-Andy Warhol
-AMEDEO MODIGLIANI!!!!
as well as plenty more but they are some of my favourites so now you can see how exciting it was since i wasnt expecting anything great!!!
as i went through the gallery floors i found some of my favourite artworks/artist such as 'Mandora by Georges Braque', 'Whaam by Roy Lichtenstein' and 'Dora Maar Seated by Pablo Picasso'. when i was gettin to the end of the upper floors i was super hopeful i would get to see one of 'Amedeo Modigliani's' unique paintings but i pretty much thought it wasnt going to happen and just when i was about to leave i walked past 'Portrait of a Girl' by none other than 'Amedeo Modigliani' i was so thrilled!!! as he is my all time favourite artist and i just absolutely love his unique style!!!!!!! there was only one piece of work my 'Modigliani' but thats okay i was so stoked to see one in real life it didnt matter that there was only one :)
so here are some of my favourite artworks from the gallery i hope you like them as much as i do.
