ENJOYING NYC

so unlike 99.9% of my friends i am going to be spending my AUSTRALIA DAY in NYC and im a little bit devastated to be honest. if i was home on aussie day i would probally be spending my day on MBAR beach covered in aussie tattoos with aussie bikini, maybe a BBQ with friends and then party the night away. however im in NYC and my aussie day is tomorrow so i wont be having the australian day i wanted, instead i will be chilling in the snow... anyway i plan to make myself a meat pie as my aussie treat since i dont have vegemite, or lamingtons.

anyway after telling you my boring story of what i wont be doing on australia day i will give you an update of what im have been doing since i last posted.

first of all i had a pretty awesome weekend, as i finally felt like going out which i hadnt previously due to being so tired and not wanting to go out in the cold. :)

the pictures below are of some of the thing i have gotten up to over the last couple of days. 2 of the things i got up to were meeting ellington and kevin who i must admit are pretty cool guys even though they are americans... so i cut them some slack hahah.

SORT OF A TOURIST

so I have now been in NYC for a bit over a week and so far really like it; apart from the cold!

i hadnt really done a whole lot until yesturday when I went out and about to do a few touristy things. had a awesome day but it was so cold as usual.

so the things i did yesturday were:

-time square

-m&m world!

-toys r us world (yep im a little kid)

-a sick lollie/candy place

-central park

so i didnt do much but was such a awesome day. im a sucker for a good lollie and bought a heap most of which are already gone. here are some of the pics a i dont really have anything very interesting to tell you guys :)

1st pic: this is a killer sundae, it has 10 scoops of ice-cream and 10 different toppings, if your in america you have to go all out or go home :D!!!!!!!! was super yummy but felt so sick after!!!

NEW YORK - 3rd morning

so I have now offically been in NY for around 2 days. and am absolutely loving it, apart from super jetlag. I had a interesting time getting here as my original flight from LA to NY was cancelled so i had to go from LA to minneapolis to NY woo hhaha. then when i got to NY i found out the put my bag on the wrong flight so had to wait a while for it so was interesting trip haha.

I am living in midtown right in the city and it is so nice as is my apartment. I arrived really late friday night then did castings on saturday and sunday and had a fitting yesturday as well.

I am hoping today I get a chance to go and see some more of the city and do some shopping as I havent realy had a chance yet and I really really need a better coat/jumper/jacket because it is so cold here!!!!!!!!!!!!

the one of the cafe is this sick bagel shop across the road from where i live they have very kind imaginable and they a so much better then aussie bagels!! haha

NEW YORK HERE I COME

Dont have anything overly exciting to post and dont have any new pictues however... I thought I would post and let everyone know that im heading to New York a week early which means I leave this coming friday (the 7th :D )
I am super excited/nervous and a little sad but more excited. I cant wait to arrive in NY and experience new challenges and new adventures over there.
Due to the fact that I live on the sunny coast im a little worried about the whole having NO warm clothes thing as it doesnt get cold here. So I plan to by a bunch of clothes from the airport so I can survive till i get to my apartment. then I plan on going on a super shopping day to buy some good winter clothes!!!!! :D

I plan to be in NY for a bit over a month then I will do the show circuit for the first time.Not sure if you guys know but i am not overly experienced in shows and havent done very many. However I do hope that I do a good job for these fall/winter shows. Also excited/nervous to do these shows!!!

Anyway it was just a quick one to keep you updated but I have to go pack as I am leaving earlier then expected :D :D :D
