MARIBOU

okay so there is ths super cute store in nottinghill in london. which you can get to from the nottinghill gate tube stop. its near portobello rd. so when you get of the tube if you follow the signs to the portobello markets its on the left hand side before you get to portobello rd.

the store sells these absolutely stunning coats that are a one of a kind made from mostly vintage fabrics. they are all hand made and very unique to anything you have seen before!!! and me being the coat lover i am i obviously had to buy one!!! which will later on end up being 3-4-5 etc hahahaha

the first picture of me is the one a bought as i decided i needed a summer coat/jacket :)

when i was taking picture for this post this little prep student came past and said hi. he was so cute! he was standing out side the store and was saying to the lovely shop owner that he couldnt come in because he had a cold and did want to give it to her. then he said he was going to come back on friday because he will he will be better then. was so adorable!!

here are some pictures of the coats that they she sells.

i head to paris tomorrow night for the couture show castings. so i will try and post just depends how busy it is you no :)

hey all.
at the moment i am in germany. i head back to london today for a job on wednesday then i go back to milan for 2 days for another job then back to london again for another job. :) so im still really busy so thats really good. after my last job on the 27th i will most likely spend 2 more days in london then head to paris on the 29th i think for the couture show castings. so hopefully i get some of those shows but we will have to wait and see.

i thouht i would let you all know a little more about me. just some general background stuff that you might have heard already but also might have been wrongly informed. :) its not going to be overly exciting but just incase your curious :)

i was born in toowoomba, which is a town in Queensland (however at the time we were living in a small town called Dalby). i pretty much lived there till i was about 9 or 10 then we moved to the Sunshine coast and i have pretty much been there ever since.

i have to amazing sister one older 20, one younger 14 and a mum and dad that i dont know what i would do without and i love them so much!!!!!!

i didnt really love school however when i was scouted in march 2010 i chose to do very little work as i was in my final year of school and finishing was really important to me; and besides why do al that hard work and quit, when your nearly finished!
due to wanting to finish school i chose to do very little work in australia to so getting a vogue exclusive was really good as i would do a job for them every so often but i could still really focus on school. i dont miss school at all the day i finished was one of the best days of my life! i truly believe that those who say school was the best years of there life havet lived! like all the things out there to do, to see and experience are a million times better then being stuck in school learning stuff you arent really interested in.
i really like to work hard which is perfect for this job as you do really need to work hard if you want to do well.

at the moment i am 18 yrs old and i turn 19 on the 1st of november.

i really love to paint and draw, however i dont get the oportunity to paint very often as its to hard to carry all the supplies with you so i have been sticking to drawing. i also really like to read. i never use to like it (in fact i hated it!!!) but now i have so much time that i get to read alot which i really love.

i really like tim burton he is super cool i love how he sees the world in this weird creative way i find all his movies fasinating! im a bit of a cartoon lover! som of my favourites are: the original Yu-gi-oh, avatar the last airbender, i loved daria, i no it isnt a cartoon but i also loved powerragers u thought they were so cool! all the spy ones, sailor moon! sabrina umm pokemon! flinstones, thats all i can think of but there were more. haha

my favourite artist is modigliani he absolutely amazing i went through a phase when i was younger and ad similar style he really inspired me!

later on i would like to go to uni/college to study a bachelor of visual arts it would be such an asweome experience. more resently i have been consider also doing some sort of history degree. which i never thought i would do. but all the travelling i have done has made me realise how much i love history how it fasinates me. i really like to no the stories behind how everything happen! australia really doesnt have a very long history so i wasnt ever really interested. but being in these beautiful places makes the history seem so real where as in australia it doesnt really seem so real.

hmm what else can i tell you...

im sure you all know that i was found in a shopping center at home on the sunshine coast by summer fisher who is my manager now and she is so amazing!!!!!!!!!

im terrible with name! i dont no why but i am. and thats not just peoples names its any kind of name like i dont remember song/singers names street names anything. but in regards to people i always remember a face!! maybe thats because i find faces fasinating, someones face is somehow more important in my brain i dont chose to not remember names they just for somereason dont stick. but i honestly do remember probally 98% of faces i meet i dont no why. i also pay attention to the little things that are unimportant. for example i as walking along with jess in central park once and there was an odd brick out in the pavement that i noticed and pointed out to here (she laughed at me haha) but if you asked me what the hotels name i stayed in yesturday i would not be able to tell you if i was paid!

i really love coats!!!! i just think there so cool im not sure why! there is this amazing coat store in london that im hopeing to do a post about but we will just have to wait and see would love you to see the shop its so fricken amazing and the clothes are so stunningly beautiful!!!!!!!!!!!!

umm i 5'10 and have blue green eyes. im a combination of both my mum and dad almost split right down the middle in every aspect. both my sisters have dark brown hair and brown/hazel eyes. i get my blue eyes from my grandad. (i also love my grandparents there so sweet). so im the odd one out of my sister but we have similar personalitys they would proberly say my sense of humor is way lamer then theres but thats a lie haha

i have a chocolate labrador, to cats, an a bird. umm thats all i can think off

but yeah just incase you were curious :)

i didnt see anything in germany as i was working the whole time so i wont be making a proper post about it.

but i hopefully will have an exciting post tomorrow just depending on a few things.
talk soon

last night i got the honor of walking in Neil Barrett's spring/summer 2012 menswear show.
it was a really sick show because it had a cool runway. i also had 2 looks which were both stunning and what was so awesome about the 2 looks i as wearing, was the fact i would actually wear both of them. i love doing shows where i get to wear clothes that suit my personal style its so exciting!

KIEV - UKRAINE

when i was shooting in Ukraine. the second place we were shooting at was Kiev. i really like Ukraine as it has really spectacular buildings and the architecture is just stunning!

there is this really amazing place in Kiev called hydropark. why it is called that i dont no because it isnt a water park at all. but when i first got there it reminded me of this really amazing ghost town i had read about before, called "Prypiat". "hydropark" was really rundown most rides were like the ones in the pictures below but hadnt been torn down. it was all located in this beautiful forest that made everything seem so magical, like the whole place had these untold storys hidden in the forest waiting for someone to find them.
when we got here i was talking to one of the other people at the shoot saying it reminded me of this ghost town that i had read about once and really wanted to go to. i told them i couldnt remember the name of the place or where it was but it was abandoned in the mid 80's due to a terrible nuclear power plant incident, where everyone was made to leave everything and abandone the city.
after that short storyof "Prypiat" that i was explaining to them they told me it was actually in Ukraine about 80miles from where we were! i couldnt believe it i had wanted to go there so badly but we didnt get the chance as we had a lot of shooting to do and it was a bit of a hard route. but now i know its there i am planning to go back and venture throught it.

what i also love about this park was that there were all these wild dogs. and im not meaning like 3 or 4 i mean like heaps 50-100 thats a wild guess could be more or less but alot. in australia they would have been put down on stuck in the pound. but in Kiev all these dogs somehow found there way to this park and made it there home. sort of an ideal life style for them i love how they sort of have there own family.

as well at this place there were a bunch of little row boats that you could rent.
"here comes another story :)"
im not sure if anyone has ever seen the cartoon "avatar the last airbender" (it was made into a movie called "the last airbender" but wasnt very good and missed lots of stuff out) well i love the show watched every episode about twice. anyway in one of the episodes they go to this small town on the water made of all these little wharf jetting sort of things. the village/town is greatly suffering due to the fire nation and the avatar and his peeps help them out. well the water town reminded me of this rent a boat place in "hydropark". kind of a long pointless story but yeah thats why those photos are there.

in the last pictures you can see a massive statue. this is "Mother Motherland" it was built to commemorate the victory of the "Great Patriotic War" by the Old Soviet Union. when they had finished building it, at that timeit was the tallest standing statue in the world, (taller then the "Statue of Liberty"). one thing i love most about this statue is the fact that it is a female. i kind of love Ukraine for it haha. she is showing victory over Kiev and she is a strong powerful women, which i would like to think i am like (stron and powerful that is :D)!!

sorry for the history lesson if you odnt like that sort of thing then i hope you enjoy the pics. but i like the behind the scene storys so i hope you dont mind the ramble!

i am going to Milan for a show on saturday morning and then i go to Germany for a job from the show in Milan so i wanted to post this quickly now otherwise i get a build up of all these things i want to sharewith you.

but im going to bed as i work again tomrrow and need to get up early

YALTA - Ukraine

for about the last week i was in Ukraine working. i rally had an amazing time as i was with really amazing people and in a beautiful place.
for the first part of the trip we were in Yalta Ukraine which was a small beach town where everyone would wear togs and thongs all day, made me miss home! the water here was really beautiful and blue and had lots of jellyfish; but these particular jellyfish had no tenticles so you didnt have to worry about being stung by them and could just admire them as they bobbed along :D

we shot near "Alexander the 3rds" holiay palace. so we went and checked it out super stunning i would definitaly be stoked heaps ( :D ) to live there as it had a beautiful garden and spectacular view of Yalta.

below are some picturesof Yalta Ukraine. tomorrow i will try to post about the rest of the trip but atm im super tired and need some sleep and i work tomorrow and friday and possibly fly somewhere for a job saturday and then fly somewhere else for another job sunday. so as you can see im realy tired from all the travel and work, butloving every bit of it!

enjoy the pictures and i will try and post soon.

P.S. if anyone knows how i can fix the comments whether in settings or what not, so that i can comment on my blog please let me no its very temper mental and i feel bad when i dont reply to comments asap

CALVIN KLEIN - resort show

i have had a couple of really busy weeks which is fantastic as i absolutely love to be busy!!!

late afternoon on tuesday the 7th of june i headed to NY, when i got to NY i had to go to a fitting for the CK resort show. the next day i had the CK show in the morning which was a really stunning show. i really enjoyed it because it was a smaller show which i love as it makes it feel more personal an special to be selected to walk down the runway for them! not only was the show STUNNING due to beautiful clothes but it was a really nice selection of model so we had fun backstage. i had been over in europe for nearly a month (here and there) and i was so happy to be able to go to NY (even though it was just a day really) as i got to see my dear kiwis (em and jess) who i miss very much.

after the CK show had finished i had to run and get my new bank card as the bank lost my other one then run back to see Richard Nicoll; to show off his resort collection to some clients/press peeps. i did the lookbook for the collection as well which you can see you his website/fb page. all the clothes are really amazing and like 90% of them are totally my style so i was really happy to do the lookbook. as well as Richard Nicoll being super cool and fun to work with (which is always a bonus!).

after i had finished that i had to head to the airport, was a bit of a stressful trip as i got stuck in really bad traffic and just made my flight from NY to london! from there i went on to the Ukraine for a shoot which was so amazing and i hope your excited to find out later in the year what it was for!

below are some pics of CK and Richard Nicoll LB

i will post tomorrow about Ukraine so get excited it was amazing
