MYER S/S 2012

About a week ago I was in the Myer show in Sydney. It was really great to do the show because I got to see all the aussie models that I hadn't seen since last year as well as catching up with the ones I had worked with overseas.

It was a really good show as the hair was very unique and the makeup was really beautiful. The show is done over two days so they have rehearsals on the Wednesday and then on the Thursday they have rehearsals, media shows and then the official show on the Thursday night.

One of the reasons I feel most of us like doing the show so much, is they have really good catering. There are a lot of shows that do not have good food, and only serve us things like crossiants and sandwiches, which you get extremely sick of if thats what you are being feed everyday for a month in shows! even though Myer isn't in the show season any show that you do, that has good catering you really do appreciate!!

The hair for the show was pretty interesting haha. It was pulled back into a tight low bun, then covered in glitter. After washing my hair 5 or 6 times the shower was basically clogged with glitter as well as the entire hotel room being covered from one end to the other with glitter, so I'm glad it wasn't my house as it would not have been easy to clean.

The make up was very simple and natural with some glitter under the eyes, which I thought was very stunning.

YONKER MANOR MANSION

so I know it has been a good couple of weeks since I last posted, as I have been really just spending time with my family as well as sorting out a bunch of things before I have to head back to NY for the next show season.

here are some pictures from the Yonker Manor Mansion that I was shooting at just before I came home for my holidays. It was a very beautiful mansion with really stunning gardens. it's a bit run down now but would be totally perfect for a halloween party! or filming a horror movie! as its super creepy. there was four of us shooting so we had some time to look around. on the first day me an kate checked it out from head to toe. most of it isnt furnished and it has a super creepy basement! it is so big and half the lights dont work or they a very weak. i dont have pictures of the basement as I didn't want to go down there by myself the next day. its now mainly used for functions, some weddings, photoshoots(like us) and some music videos. its probally about 6 or so stories tall including a sort of 2 story basment plus a attic; if i remember correctly it has 72 rooms and was built my a very rich man (stating the obvious :D) in the early 19th century. i no i promised to put the video's on but the files are to big i will try making them smaller but will just have to see. :)
